Together we move forward

The path to success within the company

Every career path begins with a first step. Sometimes it’s a first job, sometimes a change of position, and sometimes the moment when someone takes on a challenge and finds a completely new direction for their development. At Continental, there are many such stories – and they demonstrate that a career rarely follows a single, straightforward path.

30 years of growth

Over the past 30 years, the company has become a place where employees can grow in various areas of the organization, acquire new skills, and take on new challenges. Additionally, in 2025, Continental Opony Polska received the Great Place to Work Certification, which confirms that it is an employee-friendly environment that responds to the needs of individuals and teams. Continental Opony Polska prioritizes transparency, safety, collaborative relationships, and a sense of belonging. Today, approximately 130 people work in the Polish division, more than half of whom have been with the company for over 10 years. This figure best illustrates how long-term collaboration and internal development are integral to the company’s culture. Behind these numbers are real people – people whose inspiring stories we want to share.

Nearly half of the employees have been with the company for over 10 years, which clearly demonstrates that the organization fosters an environment conducive to long-term growth. At Continental, a career path does not mean solely linear promotion – the development of competencies, gaining new experiences, and the opportunity to change areas of responsibility are equally important. This approach has been one of the pillars of the company’s organizational culture for years.

Agnieszka Dej

"In practice, the direction of development is very often the result of joint discussions between an employee and a leader. It is a dialogue based on an understanding of the individual’s potential, ambitions, and curiosity. Our role as an organization is to create opportunities, and the employee’s decision to take advantage of them should be an informed one, tailored to their individual needs. Changing departments, taking on a new role, or getting to know a different part of the business is often a very inspiring path that allows one to discover entirely new professional perspectives. Importantly, many employees only realize this once they try it. That is why we place such great emphasis on creating a safe space for such steps and providing appropriate training support.

From my own experience, I can also say that I am an example of how development through exploring different areas of the organization allows one to build a broader perspective and make better decisions. That is why we do not so much “convince” employees to pursue lateral development as we demonstrate its real value and provide the space for them to experience it firsthand.”

From among our employees, we have selected those whose personal stories continue to inspire us today. Below, we present authentic employee development paths, illustrating just how diverse career paths can be within a single organization.
Marcin Cywiński
Business Development Manager

Marcin Cywiński

Every career begins with a first step. For Marcin, that step was the procurement department, where he took a job as a student to pay for his tuition. He had no idea at the time that it was within this organization that he would embark on a path that would eventually become the foundation of both his professional and personal life.

From the very beginning of his career, Marcin felt that he wanted to grow in a more creative field. When the opportunity arose, he took on the challenge and joined the marketing and PR department. Over the following years, he consistently built relationships with journalists, helping to shape communications that raised awareness of the importance of tire quality among Polish drivers.

After 20 years on the job, he decided to take the next step in his professional development and return to sales. In December 2017, during the annual meeting with journalists, he officially announced the upcoming change. As he recalls, the participants’ reaction – initial silence, followed by a playful showering of him with promotional items – was one of the most unusual, yet at the same time funniest and most touching moments of his career.

Ewa Ostapczuk
BestDrive Marketing Manager Poland and Export Markets

Ewa Ostapczuk

Ewa joined Continental in 2000 as an Executive Assistant, when the company was still in its early stages of development. Over the years, her career path has consistently focused on building and developing the brand – its standards, recognition, and market position.

She has participated in numerous marketing and communications initiatives, carrying out projects both domestically and internationally. A special place in her experience is occupied by activities in the area of corporate social responsibility, including long-term support for the World Cup for Children from Orphanages in Soccer and efforts to support Ukraine. These are projects that have brought real social value and personal satisfaction.

A key moment in her career was her involvement in launching the BestDrive franchise network on the Polish market. This project required intensive engagement at both the implementation and communication levels, as well as working in a model of closer, partnership-based collaboration with clients. This experience allowed her to develop flexibility, patience, and the ability to view the business from a retail partner’s perspective, emphasizing the importance of tailoring activities to the real needs of the market. After 15 years, she returned to this field as Marketing Manager to support the further development of the BestDrive network in the Polish market and export markets.

Arunas Kiausas
Export Sales Manager

Arunas Kiausas

Arunas began his career at Continental in 2000 at the company’s headquarters in Hanover, in an international environment where diverse cultures – from South America to Japan – came together around a single table. Two years later, his career path took him to Prague, and he has been based in Warsaw since 2005.

By joining Continental Tires Poland, he became the first foreign national in the organization’s history. He was responsible for building the export business from the ground up in the Baltic markets – Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. He carried out this task without relying on established formulas, consistently laying the groundwork for the company’s presence in the region. Over the following years, he played a significant role in developing business relationships and strengthening cooperation between different markets and cultures. He proved that lasting partnerships are based primarily on trust and the quality of relationships – regardless of linguistic or national differences.

It is worth noting that from the very beginning of his work in Poland, he took on the challenge of learning Polish. Although this was not a formal organizational requirement, thanks to his own determination and the support of a colleague, he successfully mastered the language to a level that allows for fluent communication in his daily work.

Magdalena Nowak
Financial Manager

Magdalena Nowak

Magdalena has been with Continental Tires Poland since 2004. She joined the company when it had fewer than 50 employees. Today, after more than two decades, she helps lead an organization that employs over 120 people.

She began her career in the procurement department, where she quickly took on the role of team leader. The following years brought growth in the areas of controlling, pricing, and then logistics. The experience she gained allowed her to develop a broad business perspective and a deep understanding of the organization. As she herself emphasizes, the best-designed and managed processes are almost invisible in day-to-day operations – which is the best indicator of their quality and stability.

Looking back, Magdalena emphasizes that people and the relationships she has built over the years are her greatest assets. In her view, collaboration, the exchange of experiences, and the joint creation of a friendly atmosphere form the foundation that makes employees want to grow within the organization for years to come. At the same time, she highlights the importance of high work standards and the consistent pursuit of quality in every area of the company’s operations.

At the end of 2023, Magdalena assumed the position of Chief Financial Officer and joined the company’s board of directors, beginning another important stage of her career at Continental. Her story is an example of how diverse experiences and openness to change can lead to long-term growth and a tangible impact on the organization.

Krzysztof Klepacki
Technical Customer Service Specialist

Krzysztof Klepacki

Before joining Continental Opony Polska, Krzysztof gained experience in the automotive service sector, working at a car repair shop that eventually became part of the BestDrive network. He started as a service advisor and later became a service manager, which allowed him to gain an in-depth understanding of the needs of customers and business partners with whom he continues to work today.

He joined the company in January 2013, starting in the technical department. After just a few months, he was entrusted with his first independent project covering quality complaints, diagnostics, and road tests, which he has successfully managed to this day. In the following years, his scope of responsibility steadily expanded to include, among other things, conducting in-person training, developing an online training platform, and supporting international markets.

As he emphasizes, Continental’s greatest asset is its people and the relationships built over the years. Many of the people he started working with in 2013 are still part of the organization. To this day, he has kept the notebook and pen he received on his first day of work – a memento of the beginning of a career that has now spanned over a decade.

Martyna Buczkowska
Customer Care Manager

Martyna Buczkowska

Martyna began her career in financial controlling, focusing on financial data analysis and supporting business decisions. She gained experience in the passenger, truck, and industrial tire segments, which allowed her to gradually develop a broad perspective on how the organization operates and to better understand the mechanisms that drive the business.

Over time, wanting to broaden her skills and view the company from a different perspective, she decided to move to the marketing department. Initially, she worked on pricing policy, and later took on the role of Pricing Department Manager, also overseeing Business Intelligence and competitive analysis. This stage of her career allowed her to develop skills beyond data analysis – in particular, the ability to communicate effectively and advocate for changes that require the understanding and engagement of various parties and stakeholders.

Currently, as a Customer Care Manager in the logistics department, she remains in direct contact with customers, making even fuller use of her business experience. Over the course of 12 years, she has worked in three key departments of the organization and taken two maternity leaves, consistently advancing her career path. She also emphasizes that the relationships built at work often evolve over time into lasting, meaningful friendships.
