Sport that opens doors

World and Polish Football Championships for Children from the Children’s Home

Sport has the power to change lives. At Continental, that power becomes an opportunity for children who need it most. For many years, the company has supported the World and Polish Football Championships for Children from Children’s Homes. Nearly 3,000 young players from 30 countries have taken part in the tournaments. Beyond the matches themselves, the experience helps build confidence, a sense of belonging, and the joy of playing as part of a team. For many young participants, it was the first moment they truly felt part of something bigger.

Continental proves that helping others can be woven into everyday moments. Through the Together, We Move Forward by Helping Others initiative, carried out in partnership with the Power of Help Foundation [Fundacja Moc Pomocy], the company turned everyday activity into tangible support for people affected by road accidents. Using the Activy app, participants transformed simple actions – running, walking, cycling, or skating – into real help, with every kilometer recorded and converted into direct support for those in need. Result? Over three months, nearly 3,000 people came together, covering more than 1.5 million kilometers, turning everyday movement into a meaningful outcome.

Close to people and their needs

Helenów – supporting local communities

For many years, Continental has supported the Special Educational Center TPD “Helenów”, which helps children and young people with physical and multiple disabilities build independence and confidence in everyday life. At the end of 2025, Continental experts invited the children to spend a day filled with shared experiences and hands-on activities. The participants had a unique opportunity to see the company from the inside and learn how different teams work – from marketing, where they created their own advertising poster, to logistics, where they took part in a tire order simulation, and IT, including a visit to the server room. They also gained practical knowledge about how tires are made (including the differences between summer and winter tires) and how to check tread depth and tire pressure.

In addition, Continental experts participated in a sports challenge via the Activy app, where kilometers covered across various activities were converted into donations for sports equipment for Helenów. For many years, the company has also been collecting Christmas gifts tailored to each child's individual needs, ensuring that the support provided is thoughtful and truly meaningful. Through its long-standing cooperation with TPD “Helenów”, Continental helps create better conditions for education, play, and personal development, proving that everyday actions can translate into real support for local communities.

Active for the Baltic Sea

MARE Foundation – clean Baltic Sea

Continental has also partnered with the MARE Foundation to support a project committed to keeping the Baltic Sea clean. As part of the #EcoContiChallenge – Together on the way with ecology – participants turned everyday physical activities such as running, cycling, or walking into real financial support aimed at improving the water quality of the Baltic Sea.

Funds raised through the challenge enabled the installation of PortBin marine litter bins, which collect floating waste directly from the surface of the Baltic Sea each year. Thanks to Continental’s ongoing cooperation with the MARE Foundation, marine litter bins have already been installed near Gdańsk, Jastarnia, and Tolkmicko. Thousands of people have taken part in these initiatives, proving that everyday physical activity can translate into real, measurable environmental impact.

– PortBin marine litter bins help raise awareness of the waste that ends up in the sea, while actively contributing to a cleaner Baltic Sea. Each bin can collect up to 1,400 kilograms of plastic every year. Thanks to partners like Continental, we can install them along the Polish coast and draw attention to the growing problem of plastic pollution in our seas and oceans. Engaging businesses in protecting the Baltic Sea is part of our mission, and it is incredibly rewarding to see these efforts deliver real, tangible results.
